Brigid’s Knot earrings, Celtic Collection

Brigid’s Knot earrings, Celtic Collection

Light, creativity, and the power of a new beginning.

The Brigid’s Knot earrings are inspired by the stories of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the mythological divine people of Ireland. Brigid was one of the significant figures among the Tuatha Dé Danann. She is especially associated with poetry, healing, craftsmanship, and fire - the forces of inspiration, creativity, and renewal.

The interwoven knot pattern of the jewelry represents continuity, connection, and the cycle of life. The warm shades of ochre, orange, and red evoke fire and its glow and refer to Brigid’s strong connection with creativity and fire.

The patterned part of the jewelry is made from Finnish birch plywood, while the long leather strips add movement and lightness. The imagery inspired by Irish mythology thus combines with Finnish natural materials and craftsmanship.

Materials: Finnish birch plywood, surplus reindeer leather, and steel jewelry components.

Knot pattern height: 32mm. The long leather fringes can easily be cut shorter if desired.

Reindeer leather colors: ochre / dark orange

Made in Oulu at the Elokuje workshop.
