Finnish birch plywood northern lights earrings – Loimu #3 | Aurora by Elokuje

Loimu #3 is the second larger and more colorful pair of earrings in Elokuje's new Aurora collection – it shines with all the magnificent colors of the Northern Lights, including the reindeer leather tassels. 

The earring itself is made from Finnish birch plywood, a lightweight yet sturdy material – perfect for a large earring without putting strain on the ear.

The bottom of the earring is accented by 3 soft tassels in the same color made from Finnish surplus reindeer leather. The middle tassel is longer than the other two. The leather color options are green, dark blue, purple, shimmering lavender, or fuchsia. In the fuchsia version, the middle tassel is shiny fuchsia with a white reverse side; this also applies to the lavender version. (All shiny reindeer leathers are made with a white reverse side.)

• Wooden piece height approx. 6 cm + tassel length approx. 3.5 cm (two shorter ones)

• The best way to store them is to let the earrings hang so that the tassel does not bend. A bent tassel can be gently straightened with your fingers and left to rest straight for a while, for example between the pages of a book or on a flat surface. You can also use the warmth of your fingers to soften the leather.
