Raven Skull - earrings, Celtic Collection

Raven Skull - earrings, Celtic Collection

Transformation, mysticism, and the eternal cycle of nature.

The Raven Skull earrings are inspired by Celtic and Irish mythology, as well as symbolism associated with ravens. In stories, the raven is connected to fate, transformation, and the afterlife, and it also has a strong connection to the enigmatic goddess Morrígan and the Samhain festival.

The raven skull at the center of the jewelry is a reminder of the fleeting nature of life and transformation. It is surrounded by autumn-colored leaves and berries, symbolizing the cycle of nature: growth, flourishing, withering, and beginning anew. The autumnal imagery also brings a hint of the atmosphere of Samhain to the jewelry - the turning point between seasons, when summer gives way to winter.

The earrings are made of Finnish birch plywood, and the black reindeer leather strips dangling beneath them emphasize the jewelry's dark and slightly mystical appearance.

The birch plywood piece is approximately 55 mm tall.
Materials: Finnish birch plywood, Finnish surplus reindeer leather, and steel jewelry components.

Reindeer leather colors: black, dark brown, or orange.

Made in Oulu at the Elokuje workshop.
